Join the SCBWN as they celebrate International Women's Day at Maroochy RSL on Tuesday 7th March, with change maker, rule breaker and momentum creator, Lucy Bloom!!

This is guaranteed to be an event you don't want to miss! It's set to be a dynamic morning with our guest speaker being an innovative thinker to leave you inspired, energetic and feeling courageous.

This year the international Women's Day theme is #EmbraceEquity.

#EmbraceEquity aims to get the world talking about why "equal opportunities are no longer enough" - and can in fact be exclusionary, rather than inclusive. Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities whereas equity recognises that each person has different circumstances, and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.

In celebration of women and embracing equity we have invited Lucy Bloom, award-winning leader, international keynote speaker, consultant and author, to share her story and wisdom.

Lucy Bloom is not afraid to break rules. A successful business leader, she is renowned for being an innovative thinker and exceptional communicator. With a strong track record in digital marketing, branding, story telling and fundraising, and having achieved online audiences in their millions, Lucy was Australia's first person to be named in the world's top 30 #socialceos. Her charitable work has transformed lives in Australia and overseas, and her top-selling memoir, Get the Girls Out, was published by HarperCollins in 2019 to rave reviews.

Lucy uses her extraordinary skills to write and speak about leadership, communication, changing the world and creative thinking. She is often called on to provide comment in the mainstream media on a wide range of subjects such as gender equality, social media, leadership and international aid.

We're excited to welcome Lucy to the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network stage. Book your ticket now and secure your seat for our International Women's Day Breakfast on Tuesday 7th March!
